Are you seeking an effective and non-invasive solution for weight loss and body contouring? At Dow Chiropractic and Acupuncture, we offer advanced red light laser body contouring to help you achieve your desired shape and boost your confidence.

What is Red Light Laser Body Contouring?

Red light laser body contouring utilizes low-level laser technology, not LED lights, to target fat cells in specific areas of your body. 99% of all red light therapy is done with lasers and not LED lights so don’t be fooled. This innovative procedure stimulates the release of stored fat, allowing your body to naturally eliminate it. Unlike traditional weight loss methods, red light laser therapy is painless, requires no downtime, and is suitable for all skin types.

Benefits for You

  • Non-Invasive: Enjoy a safe and comfortable procedure without the need for surgery or anesthesia.
  • Quick and Convenient: Sessions typically last 20-30 minutes, fitting easily into your busy schedule.
  • Targeted Results: Focus on stubborn areas such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, and love handles. The laser can penetrate up to 5-8 cm unlike LED’s which only go 1 cm.
  • Enhanced Well-Being: Many patients report increased energy levels and improved skin tone after treatment.

Your Journey to a New You

At Dow Chiropractic and Acupuncture, Dr. Dow and Celeste are dedicated to helping you reach your weight loss goals. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your specific needs and create a personalized treatment plan designed to maximize your results.

Over 7,000 published studies as of 2024

Infrared light improves COVID19 outcomes

Improved outcomes for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) with transcranial PBM therapy

Activation of mitochondrial metabolism and signaling of stem cells to release and activate

Red light therapy improves vision

PBM increases beneficial bacteria in the gut microbiome and decreases pathogenic bacteria. They think this is due to increasing function of the vagus nerve.

Red light therapy mitigates neuroinflammation, promotes neurogenesis, enhances synaptic activity and prevents dementia. These effects contribute to improved cognitive function, mood, alleviating depression, anxiety,  and cognitive decline.

Laser and LED light induce a photobiomodulation (PBM) effect which is used to accelerate healing, as it increases cell viability by stimulating the mitochondrial and cell membrane photoreceptors synthesis of ATP. This process can be used in promoting the proliferation rate of osteoblasts, allowing the development of new clinical approaches where the influence of laser irradiation will be cross-linked with the knowledge of stem cell behaviour and directed manipulation toward accelerated bone repair [5,6,7].

Photobiomodulation (PBM) may help with weight loss in a few ways:

Fat cell reduction

Some research suggests that red light therapy, a type of PBM, can reduce the size of fat cells by releasing triglycerides. This may be due to the light being absorbed by the fat cells, which increases the production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), a cell signal that stimulates an enzyme that converts triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol. These substances can then pass through the cell pores, causing the fat cells to shrink.

Improved metabolism

An animal study from 2018 found that infrared photobiomodulation therapy (LLLT), another type of PBM, improved glucose metabolism and insulin regulation in mice with obesity.

Fat mobilization

Some literature reports that PBM can mobilize a similar amount of fat as a meal, which can be absorbed by the body’s energy requirements or exercise routine.

Research indicates that photobiomodulation is effective in pain reduction, reducing inflammation, and accelerating healing. When it comes to body fat loss, there is research that supports the idea that red light therapy releases triglycerides in fat cells, which causes the adipocytes (fat cells) to reduce in size.
